Traps are used beneath basins to prevent foul air from re-entering the room via the basin drain and the FlowPlumb range includes both bottle traps for bathroom basins and traditional P-traps for kitchen sinks.
However, FlowPlumb traps also have the option of an anti-vacuum feature. This device, which sits on top of the outlet (shown below) allows air into the waste pipe to prevent gurgling noises. In a domestic home, this provides a professional “silent” flushing of waste water, but in a hotel or apartment building it is essential to prevent neighbours from being disturbed.
The anti-vac feature is available on selected FlowPlumb traps and also as a retro-fit stand alone item which can be added to any trap.
