Case Study - FlowPlumb Regency Gutter System

Client: The Institute of Engineers
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
When the Institute of Engineers in Tanzania recently refurbished their HQ in Dar es Salaam, they turned to FlowPlumb distributors Nabaki Afrika for roof tiles, plumbing and FlowPlumb Regency rainwater gutter system.
The Regency rainwater guttering system has quickly become a best seller in Tanzania thanks to its unique design and integral features.
Says installer / Mtalaam Thaday Shirima “it’s a much better system to work with. It’s better designed which gives a better finish and it looks so wonderful, like nothing else” .
The Regency design of the gutter is carried through all of the accessories and even the downpipe, which is totally unique. Manufactured in Great Britain to British and European standards, the Regency system features many elements that are designed to either improve the performance of the system, or to improve installation.
Due to the pattern of rainfall in Dar es Salaam, it was important that the system could cope with a sudden and heavy downpour, and with a flowrate of 4.7 litres a second, Regency can more than handle the worst of the coastal weather. Being so close to the sea also had an impact on the decision to go for Regency, as the tough PVCu will never corrode or rust as a metal gutter would.
